SPIRAL WOUND GASKETS

Spiral Wound are a versatile gasket used to compensate for joint  relaxation in cycling pressure & temperature variation. The construction is of V shaped metal and soft protruding filler material. This assembly acts as a spring and materials can be varied to handle a wide range of chemicals as well as steam. Compression is controlled either by the design of the flange containing the gasket or alternatively by an outside metal ring. An inner ring can also be fitted in high pressure applications for vacuum or to prevent media build up. It is mainly applied in Steam generation & associated pipework , petrochemical industry, valves & energy industries.
